Annual Spiritual Retreat

The Annual Retreat for the Confreres of the Salesian Province of St Joseph, Hyderabad commenced on September 6, 2010 at Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad. The preacher, Fr Samuel CPPS (Precious Blood Missionaries)- a young and dynamic priest with deep reflections on the word of God. There were 34 perpetually professed participants for the retreat which will conclude on 11 September 2010. Fr Raminedi Balaraju, Provincial exhorted the confreres, `retreat is a time for spiritual renewal and reinvigoration of the Salesian spirit`.

SPCSA ASSEMBLY CONCLUDES ON HIGH NOTE

The SPCSA Assembly concluded on September 4 at 7.00 p.m. It brought to a close three intense days of proceedings of the national Salesian assembly comprising 35 members in all - 11 Provincials, delegates from each province, and the Delegates of the approved Regional (South Asia) Salesian Bodies.

Teachers` Day Celebrations, Don Bosco Egmore, Chennai held on 04.09.2010

Teachers` Day celebration of Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School was held in the School Auditorium on 04.09.2010. The morning was filled with a variety entertainment by the students. A small skit on the importance of teachers, a fabulous dance performance by the senior boys was a feast to the eyes. Special documentary report on teachers was the highlight of the morning session.

Service to man is Service to God. One of the man`s important duties in life is service to fellow human beings. True Joy is the natural reward of a person who can love others. The more you love, the larger your heart grows. The larger it grows, the more happiness it holds. However, just saying `I love everyone` or keeping your love unexpressed is of little use to anyone. When your love is expressed through deeds of kindness and service, it gives you much joy.
