Don Bosco Academy for Skills and Employment in Sutgatti, Hubli inaugurated its first batch of the BASE Project, Job-Oriented Courses cum placement of youngsters for rural BPL (Below Poverty Line) families in partnership with the Ministry of Rural Development, New Delhi on Thursday 19 August 2010.

From Waka Waka to Václav

Fr Václav is on a short 4 day visit to the Konkan Province, with its headquarters in Odxel, Goa. He reached the Provincial house in Odxel, in the afternoon for a traditional welcome by the Aspirants of Don Bosco Panjim, who welcomed him with song and the brass band.

Fr Loddy Pires in his letter to the confreres announced the good news given by the Rector Major Don Pascual Chavez, that Fr. Ian Figueiredo, the present Vice Provincial, will be the next Provincial of the province of Panjim-Konkan (INP) for a term of six years.

The Salesian confreres of the Panjim-Konkan Province gathered in Don Bosco Sulcorna for four long days (22nd to 25th Feb 2010) to discuss, plan and put down concrete steps on which to work for the next 5 years. This was not just an institutional exercise done once in three years.
